Yendi Notes

The van left the hotel in Kumasi this morning at 5am as planned. It took us
about 3.5 hours to get to the castle at Elmina where slaves were held
before being sent to the Caribbean, America, and Europe.

After leaving the castle we stopped at city of Cape Coast to purchase some
sandwiches. From there we drove to the walkover at Kakum. Kandie and I
stayed behind with Red in the van while Rusty and Perry took Jack with them
up to the walkover.

Our trip from Kakum to Accra was lengthen from 2.5 hours to 4 hours due to
construction on the road outside of Accra. We rolled into the hotel at

Red ate in his room while the five of us walked down to the Palace
restaurant and had a nice Chinese meal before turning in for the night.

Thanks for the prayers for a safe trip down to Accra. We will do some
shopping in the morning and then prepare to left for the airport around 3-4
pm in the afternoon. Please keep us in your prayers for a safe flight home
to Alabama.

In His service,

Perry, Rusty, Jack, Kandie, and Steve
