Another Year!

Here we are near the end of 2015. It’s what everybody says, but it is nonetheless true that time just seems to fly by! But here we are in the last two weeks of December, getting ready for the holidays, family visits and, yes, the beginning of a new year.

Ginger and I are blessed because of the fellowship we enjoy with the church here at West Hobbs Street. I remember that my first sermon here was about new shoes and how it takes a while for them to break in. Well, I’m old shoes now! We thank the Lord all the time for what each of you mean to us and our family.

One of the great things about this time of year is that we usually have a little more time to spend with our families. It is our prayer that you are able to enjoy some time over the next few weeks with your family and friends. The older I get the more precious these moments are to me.

When we were younger the holidays meant going to grandmother’s houses, one in Virginia and one is south Alabama. Right now we don’t have to travel as much as then but we do so very much look forward to the joy of being together. I know the same is true for you. May God bless you with a great Christmas season full of love and joy.
